Looks like a fan remake of the PlayStation games, they seem to combining the first and second games into one and as they say Red Sun has different game play to the first two games. They have a website which contains some more info on the game www.ColonyWarsRedux.com and have been posting update about the game, no word on any sort of release but not expected any time soon.

be worth keeping an eye on this and see if it go's anywhere.

I have never played any of the Colony Wars games so I hope it is remade so I can give it a try

The first two play very much like the Wing Commander games, been a while since I played them, might dig them out and have a look again.

Looks like they are trying to head Sony off at the pass before Sony tells them to cease and it looks like he never has played Wing Commander by his comments at the end of the vid, but given his age it would be understandable.
