Bit of a space exploration/ sight seeing game where you can fly to the planets surface and land but you will not be able to get out of the ship but will be able to gather resources. Full game should be out on Steam on the 11 of this month. Earth Analog on Steam (steampowered.com) 
Apart from some weird looking planets it does not appear to offer anything else apart from the quest and for some reason it reminds me of that old dos game where you went from planet to planet as in sight seeing.
Space game Junkie being playing a demo of the game so it may give you a better idea of what it is like, shame the demo not available.  

Looks like a space version of a walking simulator will be nice too see more of what you can do besides explore? The visuals looks pretty good and the flight mechanics look solid enough

Took me a while to remember what the old game was called, but it was Noctis that it reminded me of.

Limit theory also had a mechanic like that in the game, this game starting to have some nice features.

Nice update to the game as you can now get out of the ship, although it could be said that it's gone a bit NMS with the collecting data.
