Hey EveryoneLooks like Nick-ol-teen's english translation patch effort has stalled but someone else has decided to pick it up and run with it. hi darkone. i am using a resource editor which i got from here [url]http://www.borntobefreeform.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1676[/url] sorry about the last qrc patch as i never repacked the qrc. thought it did it automaticly. the new qrc is looking better.

thanks m8. told the repacked qrc is working and been getting some help on tweeking the hud language. so far so good for a 1st timer at this. my next update will be when i finish the mission objectives. will have implemented the hud tweeks for it but missions will still be in rough translation.my main goal is to get a rough up then get input on how others feel it should be retyped so its kinda gonna be rewritten at the same time here and there.but for tonight am taking it easy as my mom came out of surgery all sound and a-ok so am a bit drunk relaxing now. dont want to be translating drunk hehe. well have a good night o7

Thanks Nick. What kind of surgery, if you don't mind my asking? My mum had a few surgeries recently herself, so I know the need to calm the old nerves afterward. Glad it went OK.

hi shant. ah no probs on asking. my mom had to go in for her shoulder. she ripped a tendent at her work and it healed in the wrong place, onto part of the shoulder blade . it wasnt a life threating thing but going under to fix it could be. it was supposed to be key hole surgery but it turned out to be worse so under she went. on a funny side now that i know she is ok, all i want to know is where i can get the pain killers she is on cause when shes on them she looks doped to hell

well back to the game. i have changed the menus and hud slightly based on other users recommendations. and i will upload new new qrc once i finish the missions. got about 350 lines left for that then i move onto the radio dialoge. 1 thing tho is i kinda messed up 1 line in the missions. it is a line that will show the same translation as a line before it but i have made a backup before that happened so if u see it in the new update (will release very soon) when playing the game then let me know which mission its is as i cant find it unless i do that mission. or am stuck to going back to my last backup which means loosing 400 lines of translation

Nice going with the translation Nickolteen ,just need to get a copy of game now.Hope you mum feeling better.

Last thing I read was that Nickolteen had some internet issues and can't upload anything right now. So I guess we will have to wait a bit.

Dude, you are awesome, thank you for your hard work. Will you keep updating the translation? If yes, please post where can I find your updates. Keep up the good work

What stage is this project at, Darkone? You never can tell with version numbers these days....

As far as i can tell (and find) Wesp5 hasn't released another version yet. And no released news on a official release of a English version.

Is there any way, to add subtitles to the introductory video?

I haven't been able to play this one yet, but if there is some type of subtitles option in the settings then this could be possible. But just adding them to the videos would be tough if the option wasn't their to begin with. Just a guess though. I would pose this question on the Precursors forum and see what they say to this.

Darkone, did you ever get a response on the question?It would be nice as right now I haven't got a clue what is being told.

I didn't post anything on their forums about this I was just stating my opinion in the previous post. And from reading there forums I think I was close, it looks like the Precursors game didn't have the subtitles option for there cutscenes so it will be difficult if not impossible to translate the audio. That's if I read the forum responses correctly.This is a shame really especially since Deep Shadows was wanting to do a Xbox360 release. And if they were doing this it would have to be ported to English, you would think they would build that functionality in to make there jobs easier upon conversion to English.
