The octopus - a very smart critter

I've long known how intelligent is the octopus - right up there with dolphins, in my opinion. This is a thought-provoking piece:

Octopuses are the closest we can come, on Earth, to knowing what it might be like to encounter intelligent aliens.

Intelligent yes, but you forgot to mention how delicious they are.
I kid you Cody. I recall that some one put out a theory that they are not native to the planet, have you heard of this?

Indeed they are! As a young man, I enjoyed eating pulpo. But I learnt, and haven't eaten any since. Posted by: @gaius-konstantine

I have, and it wouldn't be too hard to believe. But somehow, I doubt it, as we seem to share an ancestor.

News that the world's first commercial octopus farm is closer to becoming reality has been met with dismay by scientists and conservationists.
