Like him or loathe him, John McAfee was certainly a colourful character.
In some alternate universe, he ran for president in 2016 and won.

Shame indeed, then again, when you have a US warrant for your arrest, chilling in a NATO country is not advisable. Some think John simply knew too much and got "Epsteined"... It's prison, suicide is suppose to be difficult to accomplish. Posted by: @cody

I believe he was arrested at Barcelona airport, trying to get elsewhere (Istanbul?).

Agreed, indeed he was. But it's fairly obvious that he had some powerful cover, he was an asset that allowed a certain agency to compromise (and control) many powerful individuals. Once he became more of a liability than an asset... he conveniently hung himself with a tissue paper thin sheet while on suicide watch... Houdini would have been proud.

There was some talk that his wife had some damning info that would release if Mcafee ended up dead (suicided), hope it gets released so maybe we can see why Mcafee was always acting paranoid.
