I am so happy to have found such a great looking space game community! I have played so many of them throughout life and it is great to be able to look back on them.

One in particular I am trying to find if anyone can help is an online space battle game that I think was free to play. It had 200 players per server so 100 vs 100. Where there was a commander on each side and the players had to mine asteroids and fight for territory as they researched and built better ships to overwhelm the other side. Anyone ever place something like that on PC before?

Not an online player myself so my only guess would be Jumpgate, although it would be helpful if you can remember the year/years and was it a 2D or 3D game.

Hey there @gemnode, I take it this game wasn't a 1st/3rd person based game and it was more of a tactical game? Back about 5yrs ago there was a lot of online type space games coming out.... you may want to browse through the [url]https://spacesimcentral.com/community/space-and-scifi-mmo-and-multi-player-only-discussion/[/url] forum area maybe you might find it in there or the game list (not totally up to date but there is over 1k games in that listing.

I found it! The game was Allegiance by Microsoft.
