Hi everyone, I’m Julio.

I’ve been a space-sim and systems-game fan for a long time. I grew up playing things like Battlecruiser 3000AD, Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific, and X-COM, Starcontrol, among many others, and I’ve always liked games where a lot of systems are working together behind what the player sees.

I’m also a military officer with command experience, and lately I’ve been building my own space command game called ATLAS Project. The idea I keep coming back to is: “You are the Captain, not the ship.” I want the player to actually exist aboard the vessel, rely on officers and crew, and make command decisions instead of simply controlling a spaceship through menus, a way to recreate the command experience
.
It’s still an early prototype, and I’ll put together a proper development thread soon with screenshots and what actually works eventually.

I found this place while looking for people who still enjoy the deeper end of space games, so I figured I should actually introduce myself before I start talking everyone’s ear off about mine.

Looking forward to hanging around.
