RE: Rodina

<t>I think I'm ready to come back to Rodina and give it another chance. I spent hours clearing one of the planets of all enemies and finally did it. I got every frigging red circle eliminated, but because its hard to tell from the atmosphere, even criss crossing the whole place very high up, I went ...

RE: Miner Wars post mortem

<t>I was also in on this as a supporter from the get go. I spent many hours in the early sandbox just drilling/blasting tunnels and flying around. As a fan of Descent and anything w 6DoF, it felt great. I got MW 2081 and played most of it but ended up drifting away before finishing. There was no ...

RE: Rodina

<t>I have been playing Rodina pretty much non stop since I purchased it. I can't stop playing this great game. I've finally 'mastered' combat and all the weapons at my disposal (missiles are indeed great fun to let fly). I finally figured out how to re-enter atmo without burning up or crashing, and ...

RE: Greetings from Thailand

Welcome here Mahks. I'm new here too. I'm assuming you know about Solar War, too. Excellent game. Minimal graphics, but a nice challenging research tree type strategy game, aimed at the armchair generals of the future. I thoroughly enjoyed it but the difficulty got steep there.

RE: Rodina

Loads of missiles now, and a thing called ring fire I haven't shot yet. I'm thinking it has something to do with Mexican food?

RE: Rodina

I agree with the landing gear and spotlight features! Would be a huge help. and why for pete's sake are my bullets so crazily scattered when I shoot. I kind of need that buckshot approach right now I'm so noobish at combat, but I'm guessing it gets better with weapon upgrades....

RE: Rodina

I picked up the game yesterday and I've played several hours of Rodina: Excellent game. Needs a bit of polishing but I realy love this little game. Great gameplay, combat, and overall feel. The writing and music are quite good. I know what I'll be doing most of this holiday season!

Greetings from Canada (Canuckistan/Canadia)

<t>Hi folks. Old timer/long-time space game fan here, living in Ontario. Its been awhile since I've been active in space game forums (was heavily into the Independence War community forums way way back in the day) but my love of this genre has never waned. Glad to have found this place and I hope to ...

RE: Greets from a long time space sim gamer

<t>Hey welcome and yes, I too am new here but a veteran of the genre and the space game communities. I was mostly into the WC series and I-War games, as well as Freespace games. Loved them. I am older and grey-er now, with family and business, etc., but I hope to be able drop by, chat, play some ...

RE: New IWar Area

<t>If you're still looking for fellow fans of the Independence War game series, yes, here I am *sticks hand up eagerly*. I am one. Best games ever. I love most space sim and sci fi games but these games represented the high water mark of the genre. Still searching for and hoping to capture the same ...

RE: MOD: Unstable Space v11.6

Thanks to everyone for continued interest in this great mod project. There is still life but I think Cambragol is the main life support system these days. Loved these games, and loved this mod. Keep the faith!

RE: Unstable Space Beta Released

<t>Cambragol, I would like to personally thank you for your efforts. You did a great job bringing this to completion. I can't tell you how pleased I am that someone stuck with it for so long after all that work we all put in so long ago only to have it languish until you breathed life back into it ...
