Greetings to all,I'm a 34 year old earthling from The Netherlands. I always like to play space games. I played the following games in the past:Elite (Acorn Electron version)Elite Plus (PC)FrontierFFEFreelancerXX2The X-Wing, Xvt and Xwing Alliance games from LucasartsTachyon beyond the fringeI nowadays play:Freelancer (very rarely tbh almost never reason is Oolite)X3 Terran Conflict= Great looking ships and stationsOolite= Fantastic, free + a great community and the real old Elite spirit I'm hooked. But I'm a contributor to the Community. I made several OXP (Oolite Expansion packs) One of them is the Famous planets series that provides textured planets for Galaxy 1. And currently a version for Galaxy 2 is in the making:Youtube vid with my own music is here: a musician. My music is on: [url]http://myspace.com/pagroovemusic[/url] like Star Trek and consider to take part in Star Trek online. Although I find the subscription plan a bit too expensive. I wait till the game is in the market for a few months and then check again.

Yes Oolite is in a lot of ways, what the original Elite could have been and yes I have your mod installed, so I will take this opportunity to thank you for creating it. Well done to you! I also have the "Flying Dutchman" mod installed too, but so far I have not come across it in game.

Welcome to SSC pagroove.I have to get back into Oolite again while I wait on some of the space MMO's to get completed.

I have played in the beta the past few weeks and is a good game in general but I have reservations on jumping right in until I see some more things. I will be writing a little review on this with lots of pics this week sometime.

Hi and welcome pagroove!I have only recently discovered Oolite and its OXP files and must say im in `awe` 
at what you guys can do!!i have Famous planets listed in my add on`s and think its brilliant, the more i play Oolite the more i discover its limitations though 
, like why are the docking and hyperspace tunnel screens the same as the original, why has no one done numerous OXP`s for that, and i miss not having an external camera that i can move around my ship at will. I was told you can only work with what you've got and some things are not changeable in the code. which left me feeling deflated so i thought....(i always have idea`s that i think only i will ever think of 
)Seeing as though your all obviously fantastic at writing code why not make your own Elite/Oolite type of game??!!! 
if the thousands of community modders got their heads together to create Oolite 2 which could be totally customizable and do all the things every Elite Oolite and space game fan ever dreamed of, with the OXP`s that came out for it you could tailor the game to how you wanted it!!1 how damn cool would that be.Well its just a dream and im sure its been thought of before, obviously cant be done or id have just have discovered Oolite 2 haha.I`d just like to add there's absolutely nothing wrong with Oolite and its now an example to all the Proper game development company's of how free roaming space games should be! P.s did you find SSC from the link i put on my sig bar on the Oolite forums???
