How to find a System ?

Post by explorer44 »

I realize the stellar systems present in pioneer are almost like in the real life. How do I found a system by it's name in the pioneer map (F2)Is there a "search" function ?for example : gliese 581, all I know is that it's at 20 light years from Sol.Thanks

There isn't a search function in Pioneer yet. I tried to look for that large twin of Earth too. I read an article that says that a planet must be within a certain size range to maintain a molten core and the resulting protective magnetic field. This planet may be a bit too big, resulting in a large twin of Mars, if it's even there at all.
