Hi Everyone,I've only just stumbled across this site, looks great :)I've been a space sim fan for decades....I played the original Elite on my Apple ][ back in the '80s....read the "6-star" review of Wing Commander in Dragon Magazine and cursed that my PC was too old to play it....enjoyed Origin's Space Rogue though none of my friends had ever heard of it....kept my little sister quiet while I was playing Frontier/FFE by getting her to imagine she was conducting the docking music...and so it goes on!Like so many of us, I crave a spiritual successor to Elite. May our quest soon come to fruition!auryx

Hi there AuryxWould be interested on how you stumbled upon SSC? Always trying to find a way to get the word out more :)Apple II I remember those green screens or least the one that I played on was, successor to Elite... hmm people would say Infinity: The Quest for Earth is just that but we'll see. Pioneer is another great project that you will want to read up on and play the early Alpha.Enjoy the site.

back into cryo, that's great!Hi Darkone, I stumbled across it through a most circuitous route....I was reading UK "Games" magazine's round-up of the 100 Greatest Games of all time. Elite was in there of course...and that made me think, I wonder what's happening with Elite and space sims these days? I googled it, and somehow ended up on a YouTube vid of Elite, which had a link to Pioneer on the side...so then I looked up Pioneer, and clicked on "forums"...and here we are! Anyway I'd better go, I have to clean the airlocks.....chat later!Oh, and a very happy International Talk like a Pirate Day, everyone! Yarrr.auryx

Hello Privateers,Not an introduction, but a re-introduction, since as you'll see, my last one (above) was some years ago! I did indeed fall into cryofreeze. Just wanted to say it's great that the site is flourishing so much, and the new look is amazing.
