RE: Chocolate flavoured galaxy
Very exciting! I'm glad you're so actively working on improving the planets and moons in this game. I already thought the "stock" planets in the older Pioneer versions were great but you've really outdone yourself with moons like Io. I saw Europe yesterday. Very nice! And those new screenshots are awesome. I hate to sound like a fanboy or something but it's been a long time since I've been so enthousiastic about a game. I always thought the world in Flashpoint and ArmA/ArmA 2 was big, but in Pioneer, you can visit entire planets. And not just one.I hope in the next alpha, we're finally getting rid of the green and red standard cheeseballs. Those worlds would be nice if there were only a few but almost all moons are the same green and red type. I'm very glad there will be more diversity in the future.Man, can you imagine how cool Pioneer might become if we could build small bases on moons and explore the terrain surrounding it with rovers/buggies. Setting up defense perimeters around the base with small turrets and visiting the station every now and then to resupply it and collect resources or information. I see myself on the surface of a Io like planet standing next to my small mining station, with my spaceship on the ground and my small groundvehicle next to it. That would be so awesome
. I can only hope, I guess... For now, great job on those new terrains! Can't wait to visit those new rocky worlds.

S20dan, I just had to make a comment on your current avatar. Wasn't Picard's mission supposed to be to boldly go where no man has gone before? I think he's a bit off course here!
RE: Chocolate flavoured galaxy
Cheers KingHaggis, hopefully Ill get round to adding in some more in the next few days.Marcel, Picard is only human ;)edit//

Well I found some time ;)Ive been playing with that a bit, I made the random colours quite a bit darker, so there should be no more bright green or red moons. Also the rock colour that is used for asteroids, rocky planets and lots of other planets has been changed a bit, it now uses 4 random colours instead of just one.So yes, in the next alpha those glowing cheeseballs will be mostly gone

I have a workaround for the disappearing asteroids for you.The asteroid disappears when you are a certain range from it and you also have a city in view. To stop it disappearing make sure the city is not in your view and as long as you do that you can fly around the asteroid at leisure. Once you are very close to the asteroid it should stop doing that so you can fly to the city with no problems. If I cant fix that then I might have to remove those asteroid bases.

You a Yorkshire man?
RE: Chocolate flavoured galaxy
Your probably right. There is the possibility of a grey or light brown colour as it is now, but not much of a possibility. They only look like that because they are using the same colours as the rock worlds. If they have their own colours, which they will, then they will be more 'normal' looking.

Ah, the english language, more dialects than you can rattle a stick at
A space sim fan from my part of the UK might be heard to say, "AmtoottlynaffedaffhinginabooutfuryonElitefuoorbut!"
English translation: " I am very sad because I have been waiting for the Elite IV game for a long time!"
