Your definitely heading in the right direction with this s2odan! <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> That last one,.....the brown dwarf <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_eek.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> With a little tweak here and there and you could turn that into a Neutron star! I have only one thing to say..............

Once #404 is implemented it'll be possible to change ship type from script as well.
I did this today. To pretend to load a Frontier save, the only thing I can think of is a way to teleport the player object into any arbitrary system. This would also let us mess about with Thargoid transporters...

Wow. That issue should also feature my Linux User Group! I'm *so* buying that issue.
RE: Chocolate flavoured galaxy
any ideas for "content" additions to the polar regions for mining id say water, water ice and other perhaps cold deposits of minerals. Polar planets could produce cold weather vechiles and water products or something along those lines
RE: Chocolate flavoured galaxy
Star terrain work is nearly finished, and should make alpha 15. This brown dwarf looks great!

yeah true, the way things are going, we might not have them, but this could be an alternative timeline and who knows what differences there could be

That's very good news! I'm glad to see Pioneer is getting the attention it deserves. Nice new screenshots by the way, s20dan!

Oh so close now...Your not-so friendly neighbourhood K type star:Brown dwarfs get some light shading now from brighter stars:(Oh actually Rob posted a pic of this change, but as you can see the colours have been tweaked a little)@Geraldine, thats cool
I'll have to try and hunt down a copy of that magazine.

Yep, you are all gonna be celebs now! <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_lol.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Also been dropping info on the PC Gamer site, link http://www.pcgamer.c...ead.php?t=12778 if there is enough interest, they might include the windows version on their cover DvD at some point too. Incidentally, quite a few people on that site are aware of Pioneer, although I could not find any prior posts about it.Those stars look lovely by the way s2odan. Beautiful, beautiful work! <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_cool.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt='8-)' />

Awesome. You should be well proud! I totally love Frontier, so a free, portable, graphically modern implementation is a dream come true. I know there's still a lot of work to be done, but it has so much potential. When I get some spare time, I'll try to join in the bugfixing and development effort.M
He's KEEN!
