Banner / sig Artwork

Post by Coolhand »

[attachment=337:Pioneerbanner_01.jpg][attachment=338:Pioneerbanner_01_sml.jpg]A slightly cheesy web banner just for fun. not really sure what the metallic 'bar' is, hopefully it looks metallic... perhaps the name is stamped into a bar of space platinum and after its transport was blown apart its entering a stars corona, planets atmosphere or something. ;)

Looks good to me... but if I had to nitpick, I would think there would need to be like a planet or a planet surface in the logo. Since that is one of the greatest features of Pioneer.Feel free to try to make a logo for SSC if ya want. :) I am the most awful artist and what you see on the site is my best effort to date

Ok here is a different version... with an additional little "planet and ring" logo, like a stylised saturn... not sure how well that turned out but hey...[attachment=339:pioneerbanner_02.jpg]

The planet and star are great touches to the Pioneer sig. Good stuff!

Yes nice banner Steve :) Although every time I see Pioneer I can't help thinking about those old probes (Pioneer 10 especially) that were launched by NASA in the 1970s

Here's my crappy attemt of a banner, let it be known that I'm not a graphic artist. I got a bit carried away with a video you guys posted on Youtube: :D Little Pioneer. They're big, I know.. Btw. My apologies for not introducing myself as I should and jumping right into a thread. My name is Mario and I was able to track you from Indiedb and google :D . I downloaded the game a few days ago and fell inlove with this game and concept already. You guys are doing an exellent job and I hope you continue with this great project. Unfortunately I'm not a 3d modeller so as much as I would like to help I can only assist with doing banners U_U . Good luck and please keep this going ^-^.

I guess it was a bit obvious  . Thanks for the compliment to my first banner s20dan :D . Btw a quick question: I was able to change cpanel.png pic for the control panel ingame cause I wanted to give it something more retro for my game 8-) , but it seems that there is a constraint in the pic dimensions. Is there a way to slightly alter those dimensions and even add a bar in top of the screen? Is there a specific thread for these kinds of questions?

We are famous here for bad and obvious jokes :) (Or maybe thats just Marcel and myself? )If theres a way to change the image I think its located in one of the gui files but Im not sure which one. The gui section is one part of the code that I have never looked at, so I wouldn't really know where to begin with it but maybe Tom can point you in the right direction if he reads this thread.

allways a pleasure to meet coolhand, no matter where in the universe :D but i also like your work taquito and you can be shure to find yours on my signature, i love the "bowman-god-fetus"yep, pioneer reminds me of lot, even the probes yes, i guess all of us quite a bit aged space gamers had followed every "blip" of them.in switzerland, when i say i play/make models for pioneer, people think first of a stereo or a small motorcycle sold here under this name "pionier" in german. "puch" was famous here in 70's and 80's because they was easy to tune, and the pionier allready had outstanding power for his class (50ccm, you just had to remove the "clamp" that has limited it's power).one of the bikes that "runs faster uphill then downhill".maybe part of it's glory was because it was a rare model, everybody of us wanted to have one, but only a few owned one.fortunatly i owned once one, unfortunatly i wrecked it. should i tell you what we thought about piaggio?a girls bike (or even worse), but thats prejudice, piaggio especially the "ciao" you could tune up to 80km/h and thats not the top speed 50ccm not 70ccm replacement engine (once a guy tuned one up to 130, but it wasn't a ciao, it was a old "sachs" if i'm right, he was for shure captured by police, but they found that such a outstanding one that they presented it later).something else i stumbled over

Thank you potsmoke ^^. If anyone needs a signature with your favorite Pioneer location, please take a pic and send it to me to work on it. I'll do my best to make a decent sig with it. :D Btw here's another one:
