Augmented reality control for space sims

We have had a couple of threads about joysticks v mouse control in the past on the forum.Found this vid of an augmented reality control demo of some one flying a space ship. 8-) Put this together with some 3D and mouse and the joypad might become as dead as the joystick for game control.Anyone have any thoughts about it. Also found this vid of someone using some of the Infinity models 8-)

That is really cool, I hope the tracking can get more advanced so you don't hold your hand up all the time, that could get pretty tiring after 10-15mins. But great concept he is working on and the game seems very playable right now and would be great to try the camera piece of this game.http://www.alexju.be/archive/sf/I think this video is a bit newer on the gameplay and shows off a little info on how the game is being designed.

Good point about the hand raising.Maybe only used in manual control of the ship with autopilots doing the rest.Wonder if you could target a ship by just pointing at it or by using a voice command :?:
