Babylon 5 fan project? "I've Found Her"

Post by vistarnh »

Has anyone heard of this? It seems to be stalled but there are free downloads? I just dl'ed so I may try it if I get a chance.http://ifhgame.ru/main/ifhhomeEdit: They also have a project called "Deltawing" that is a more Elite style freeform spacesim! It seems to be stalled out right now but I have my fingers crossed

It is a great project and make sure you download RC6 and the missions packs. Deltawing hasn't been to active in development as of late but hope it eventually comes to life.

Yes I have this and it is good. Actual hyperspace navigation 8-) . I must upload it to the board when I find it. Also don't forget to try out the The Babylon Project too, a total conversion for Freespace, if you haven't already. :)

That's come on lot since the last time I played it, will have try and download it some time. As Babylon 5 is bar far my favorite scifi show, apart from season 5 less said about that the better and the lost tales also better not to mention a couple of these tv movies. Anyhow I would love a space trading game set in the Babylon 5 universe in fact I been eying up Pioneer thinking that once they get to version one of the game. A Babylon 5 mod could be made for it as most of the space craft already exit as low polygon models on the net.

Yes I have to agree Pinback. The B5 universe has much in common with an "Elite" type universe, even down to the trade ships, pirates, Shadows (Thargoids), Newtonian physics and rotating space stations, then again I always thought the creators of the show were big Elite fans. There is little to be found in other explanations for the parallels. As for a Pioneer mod, who knows? Like you said the models are already out there. The Babylon Project total conversion for Open Freespace is on deck in the SSC download area if you want to melt your modem for a bit

IIRC last time I played it I did not have a joystick and think this game really needed one. :?:

It's a great news! I've completed prequel Danger and Opportunity and it was a real challenge. The story was exciting, actors were very good (nearly professional!), flight physics was also very good...it was one of the best space sim which I ever played! I have still my old savegame, and if I have time, I will try mission packs!
