Hello Everyone

Post by dnbrice »

Hello everyone,I just discovered this site and looking forward to browsing though all the games. I am a big fan of Orbiter, and I like really good games too. I have not played a good Sci-fi game in a while. I was mostly old school from the Wing Commader seriess to Independence War. Every game since, I readily got bored as it seemed to be the same old formula of either space battles or trading. One of the games that I really got into, was the Battlecrusier AD series. I was really into the ship management and open gameplay. What I really, really, really want from a game, is the ability to roam about my own ship in first person. I am tired of playing the games just from the cockpit perspective. I want to roam to engineering and tweak the engine outputs, or go to the hanger and take a ighter or shuttle for a flight while orbiting a planet, or dock with another ship and roam around that ship. Anybody have suggestions? If there is not a game like this yet, is the a bandwagon I can hop on to encourage developers to create such a game? Thanks again.

Hi dnbriceIndeed welcome to the SSC :) Yes that was a good suggestion by Darkone, another one might want to ad your voice to could be this http://www.spacesimcentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2035 for an appeal for a Sundog re-make.There is also The Precursors (needs patching and they are to be found in the download area) and Parkan 2. Both of these have been released and finally Salvation Prophecy. That last one is still being worked on.
