Introduction & Quick Question

Hi. I'm relatively new to PC gaming, but have in the past played the likes of Freelancer. I'm also 52 so perhaps I may be doing something wrong as I cannot get the game to play properly, so my question(s) are these:-(1) When docked with enough credits, I cannot purchase any item, be this weapons or commodities - the "slider" bar does not move off zero.(2) If I unmount weapons and then choose to buy another similar class of weapon, the above kicks in and I cannot buy, so I the have to remount the original weaponIf someone could let me know what it is that I'm doing wrong, that would be great. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to SSC WelshcommanderI haven't played FL in a few years and don't ever remember running into that issue. I would make sure the game is patched and are you running any mods? And this isn't as simple as incompatability with the hardware you are trying to mount and the ship or a reputation issue?

Hi Welcome to the SSC I cant say I ever encountered this problem myself with Freelancer. Could I suggest you make another post in the Freelancer section? Perhaps one of the other members could help you out? For general advice, certainly make sure you have all the updates. Have a look on here http://www.patches-scrolls.de/Might be worth adding these patches to the download area Darkone?

Ah ok. - Make sure you have patch 1.0.11 installedHow far along are you in the game and was this a save game from a few releases ago? People have had issues with the purchasing system but I haven't. The hardware you are trying to equip could be not compatible with your hull. But I would post your issue in the SPG forum area, Dorijan is good at getting back to people with issues.
