New gameplay video

Post by Jabberwocky »

Nate R from over at http://indiegamehq.com/ made a new gameplay trailer for Salvation Prophecy. sorta came out of nowhere - it's really neat how some of the independent game journalists have jumped in to help out with the game. Salvation Prophecy ain't everyone's cup of tea, but people who like it seem to really like it, which is a great feeling for an indie dev.The earlier videos for the game were done by me, and I always had trouble distilling them down to a short, high-impact video. They always ended up too long. This one is only 1:40, and I think it covers most of the aspects of the game - it's amazing what someone with some video editing skills can accomplish. The music isn't the game's soundtrack, but rather just a track that Nate found from an electronic artist who posted his compositions online. We asked permission to use his music and he gave the thumbs up. If you look, there are some pretty cool people out there in internet land. <img src='http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

That is a nice intensity game trailer for Salvation Prophecy. I hope it is selling well enough that we can see some DLC/Sequel? I know poking ya for hints as to SP's future... <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Thanks DarkOne.The financial fate of Salvation Prophecy still very much rests in getting through onto Steam. I'm still fighting my way through the greenlight process - and as the top games are greenlit I'm slowly sliding towards the front of the list. I also need to try and keep up some publicity for the game, so I don't start sliding backwards in my greenlight ranking. Until then, I can't afford to jump into any new expensive development projects, but I'm currently keeping myself busy with a linux port.
