Hello all,I've been a fan of Space Games since the early days of the Micro computer and when Elite came out....well...the rest is history.I specifically came here to try to lend a hand in the Pioneer project. It has an amazing team of talented individuals.I have known about SSC for a while. Quite some time ago I was lamenting there were no games like Millenium 2.2 and 3.3 on the Amiga and here was where I found there was a remake on Millenium 2.2. Mercenary was another game I played quite a bit on the C64 just like Elite.

Thank you all for the warm Welcome.@Geraldine, oh yes I know about MDClone. I found it some years ago and have been LOVING IT ! :-)I tried other Space Trading Games such as X over the years trying to rekindle the excitement I had for Elite but none of them quite grabbed me like Elite I'm afraid so you can imagine my excitement when Oolite first came out...yes I actually knew about that one early one and I played and played it and STILL play it regularly to this day. All the OXP's are brilliant, the textures, add ons it is just ultra BRILLIANT ! and now we have Pioneer of course which I have been following for a few years. I played with very early versions of it when it was *just* playable although it crashed quite a bit etc, then the releases were more stable, I was watching videos by bchimself I believe the username was for the person that places regular youtube videos up ...bar video 1 which is still unavailable :-(So I will get regular nightlybuilds of Pioneer and check them out and hope to help out with Pioneer in some humble way. :)When I got "back" into Elite per se I investigated Frontier GL and FFE D3D which are great but the latter there is nothing I can do to get the damn icons appearing on the screen which is a documented fault I know but the Russian team do not seem to be posting updates for it etc. I left a detailed thread on the Frontier forums about everything I tried to no avail to get it working. Ahhhh well......... the GL one will have to do for that,
