Great project! Some Newb questions

Definitely single player for me please:-)
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
Why don't you keep the time dilation but if people want to fight with others they will have to meet up at a time as well as a place.Time is a dimension afterall so I don't see the problem.Other than those that have gone forward can never go back!!!Course it will make meeting up just that bit harder so it might be a situation whereby if you meet someone anyone you've pretty much got to fight them cos it might be centuries before you get the chance to meet a stranger again.I'm sure that's what it was like in prehistoric times. Meet a stranger pretty much got to fight them.Or maybe allow people to go back in time as well as forward (probably totally screw with the planetary engine model though).
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
Come to think about it I remember reading a sci fi book where that was a central theme. They had drives that could get you between star systems but the combination of really fast travel and suspension meant that everyone in the universe led different lives and as soon as someone went on a long journey they might be able to go back to the former physical location but everyone that they'd left behind would be likely dead as so much time would have passed.
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
I like that idea, because it means that nobody ever has to fight. I hate fighting.
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
"I hate fighting."I agree with you Brian. Too much violence is in real life.
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
Oh, it's not that... I just can't be bothered with it, when being elsewhere is so much easier.
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
I love fighting... when necessary and I choose to. I just don't want to be obligated to fight, much less grind, by the game's engine.
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
random combat encounters were a hall mark of elite, more variance and randomness however would be a good idea
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
I was doing a delivery and as I jumped in to the system I get this message "So you have Jim Reilly on board that was a bad decision (or similar words)", Oh dear!! I hit the thrusters as hard as I could and when I look behind I've got 2 ships chasing me. They never caught up though, I quickly got away. Might be better if they did catch up, it did seem a bit too easy to get away. But I love that part of the game it gets the adrenaline going, and I would normally have expected to fight them off. I have blasted a few ships up to now, but haven't been fired on yet, I guess that's not been implemented yet.
RE: Great project! Some Newb questions
When I need to release adrenaline, avoidance maneuvers are my favorites. I took off the boat all weapons, making it unreachable. The weight of the weapon slows attacking ships. It's fun to collect several missions safer. I managed to collect up to 6 or 7 ships of the mafia and safely pass between them and leave them behind. The combat systems available in the 31st century are older than the 21th century.

There are no combat systems available in the 21st century involving space-based fighters.

But grandfather, the R40 is very old. Look at Wikipedia. Said my grandson as he filled the gas tank (fuel) of my car with water.
