RE: Rodina
wow looks awesomea good idea would be if all the developers that are making indie games like this and pioneer would join to make one game :)the pros would be more faster development and a ton of ideas and features.the only cons would be pride but I doubt many developers has this since they do this for love of the genre.

These things are pretty much in opposition to each other. Lack of focus kills momentum.

One Game to rule them all, One Game to find them,One Game to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
RE: Rodina
There has been lots of work done on Rodina, have a look at http://elliptic-games.com/ for latest info. Can't wait to play it, lets hope we get something in 2012.
RE: Rodina
About time we seen some new video of it.
RE: Rodina
And as if by magic a vid.
RE: Rodina
Very smooth effects and planet transitions. The limnal drive is nice, think the only thing you need is some way to tell which planets/stars you are near so you can navigate to them and not use line-of-sight.
RE: Rodina
This was really cool and I like how simplified it is to design something, wish more mod tools were this easy to use.
RE: Rodina
New planetary terrain video. Like the camera shake on reentry

RE: Rodina
Yeah, the reentry effect sure is cool. Also the planet and the rest of the graphics are pretty good.
RE: Rodina
Looks like they getting ready for a playable demo of the game http://elliptic-games.com/?p=160 I’ve been working hard on enemy AI / ship combat over the past few weeks. Getting closer to a playable build that I can release out into the world comfortably. But I’ve also been trying, in my spare moments, to finish up creating all of the necessary planets and asteriods for the game. As usual, it’s a bigger job than I could have anticipated!
RE: Rodina
Latest post from Rodina http://elliptic-games.com/?p=174 Have some very exciting news today: I will be showing the very first public, playable demo of Rodina on April 24th at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) here in Portland Oregon! If anyone is near it, pop along and have a look.
RE: Rodina
Nice vid of the combat, looks to be coming along.
