I'm looking for a space sim/adventure game

I guess that's what you call it.Currently, I'm playing this cheap game I found in Office Max called Freelancer that's a good game, and is a sorta space flight sim type of game, but you guys most likely have heard of it and think it's good, since you also have a board for it.I was wondering if there was a space flight sim that plays like Freelancer and other space sim games, but also has land exploration and FPS combat on foot.Is there such a game?

Welcome to SSC Glazed.There is a bunch of mods for FL btw that can keep you busy for a while and another game like it is Freespace 2 especially if you use the FSO project on top of it.But to get to your question. There is a few games but the two that pop into my head immediately is Parkan II and Universal Combat 2.0.

Thanks for the replies. I'm also interested in the new Star Trek MMORPG.What's the best mod for FL?Also, Jumpgate Evolution looks cool too. What's it like, if you got to try it?

Both STO and JGE look good and both are not yet in beta. JGE was actually supposed to go to beta 3+ months ago and they are still hush hush about it. STO is coming along nicely. Now you do have to remember that space combat in these two are nothing alike I do like the fact that in STO you can do some ground combat and ship interior combat.Best mod for FL ... hmm. Been a while since I played FL but I particularly liked Itano Circus, The Order and Freelancer Discovery mods.

Awesome. I'll check them out.I think I'm most excited about STO, because it's familiar and has land gameplay also. It might be awesome!

There is a few space themed MMO's that I want to try and STO is one of them, but I also like Black Prophecy and SWTOR (Star Wars The Old Republic). I know the last one there is no actual space flight that I know of but how can you exclude a Star Wars game
