If only. The first 30 seconds of it look pre rendered also could not help thinking " Trade Build fight think " where have heard that before  then the game footage kicks in, much better.Only the first image is pre rendered (the space station conceptual art). After the "Trader" kicks in, the video is ingame footage.

I couldn't agree more with Pyros. If only we had seen a vid like this at the beginning...we would be talking additional goals. Oh well. But nice Trailer, for what's worth!

Judging by yesterdays e-mail it looks like it has finally dawned on them that they only have about two weeks left.. Hi everyone,Michael here with a big update!Thank you to Chris Roberts for giving us a shout out in his latest Star Citizen update. The Elite: Dangerous Kickstarter is now sitting at over £810,000 and we have over 16,500 backers. This is good, but we still have ~£450,000 to go, and just 16 days to do it in – we need your help now and over the Holidays! We need to spread the word far and wide. We’ll of course be doing that as well, and thank you to those who have already been doing it, but we now need a big push from as many people as possible to try and make sure we hit the Kickstarter total and get to make this game.Tell everyone you can as you see them over the Holidays; tell your colleagues, tell your friends, tell your family. Everybody, try to recruit 5 fresh pledgers. If you are on Twitter, tweet about the Kickstarter (include the #EliteDangerous hashtag) and ask your followers to re-tweet.If you’re on Facebook, update your wall and those of all your friends who’ll be interested. If you’re on Google +1, publically recommend the project. If you’re on Linked In, share the news about the project. If you blog, or are part of any online communities, post about the game. You get the picture... any way you can spread the word, please do so. And hopefully we will start seeing Frontier being more active about the project instead always reacting to the criticism.

... love the little bit of "Blue Danube" at the very end Yes... subtle that, but very emotive.

There's a surprising amount of internet venom out for this game. I've read a fair share of comments over on rps arguing its all vapourware, the videos aren't in game footage etc. Their does seem to be a fair amount venom for the game, although I think a lot of is down to the way Frontier have handled the KS.The only way people have of getting information about a project is through the videos and sadly Frontier have been a bit slack about doing them, but every time they have done one their pledges goes up.

Things seem to be hotting up. Whatever else I've really enjoyed my whole Limit Theory/ED/Godus/Sui Generis/ SC ride... It really is a very expensive way of getting a game I probably would never normally bother with but wow isn't it great fun.

Yea, I would second that, what a wild ride, but Elite is going to be my last kickstarter for a good long while.

I am still sat on the £90 tier, will probably bung in another tenner in the last week to take me up to the £100 tier but there no incentive to go any higher for me.

So, no temptation from the golden elite club (£150) or the designers forum (damn it is really enticing, but £300 is quite a sum)?;)

I've been like Geraldine - I have suddenly gone from not ever having financing projects to having 5 projects. I want them all to succeed as well and so far they have all hit their marks. I thought Sui Generis wasn't going to make it and I thought well that saves me money. I really like the if it doesn't hit the mark it doesn't get the money.Totally livens things up. I will be like Geraldine though gonna lay off projects after ED I am not going to have time to play all the things I am attracted to.

If Kickstarter backers, on average, receive a 50% discount and if the £90 pledge essentially buys you the full game, plus all the expansions, then does that mean the complete package will eventually sell for £180? Ouch.

No the whole idea behind KS is that you are funding some thing that would not normally be made. if the game is funded and goes into retail then expect to pay the normal retail price. E:D being doing well the last couple of days over £953,000.

Already up to £983,000, 30k in 1 day isn't bad, on this trajectory it will just fall short of meeting its goals, but assuming there's a surge (which there likely will be) it should just make it.
