Funding this now but this project needs to be mentioned in popular gaming website like ign/gamespy/rockpapershotgun to get a chance at reaching their goal or it will just fail with most people never hearing about it.

They have a slow start, hopefully they make it. I already made my pledge to the game never played the first one though. You may be right in that last time I looked they were not doing too well.

Last time they had a funding program I thought it was too high, I think if they game ask for a smaller amount and then do another after you have some real in-game stuff to show people that give people that 'must have' feeling they could easily get this funded. But $650k is a lot, yeah some of has played Nexus TJI but it definitely doesn't have the name recognition that some of the other games that asked for large sums, nevermind Chris Roberts doing his own funding and he exceeded that mark in 1-2 days <img src="'[url]http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//wink3.gif[/url] class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />.I just hope they keep building it and get it out eventually.

I didn't see much advertising for this kickstarter project on the gaming sites. Hopefully they give it a second try if it doesn't work out this time.

Very true, but it does sound like the devs want to get this done. It is tough raising that type of money without big names behind it or a well known developer. Only time will tell, but I doubt they will make it.

I think they may have to wait until Roberts game comes out and then there will be more interest in it.

Played the first game and liked it. Not sure why I never finished it. Any word on what they might do?

Right now this game is on hold, according to the devs. It didn't make the funding limit so devs are working on other things. Maybe we will see this come up again and really I think they just needed to be more prepared for the kickstarter and show people ingame action, cutscenes, roadmap and things like that.
