x-wing and millennium falcon mods - engine issues

Post by Loki999 »

So downloaded the MF and XWing and looked forward to playing, only to find that when i switched the engines on, the ships suddenly fly off at a random direction accelerating hard. Nothing I do changes it even turning engines to manual (i think,..... hard to tell if your thrusters are doing anything when you are already flying fast).Anyone else experienced this? Is there a known fix?Not tried any other ship mods yet.

Yes it is yours for alpha 24. Possible to fix with a tweak to the LUA? Any hints?

It might be the thrusters values, they no longer have to be negative since Alpha 26 (or so) so you could try finding them and making any negative ones in positive ones?

Made a fix so that weapons fire correctly in Alpha 28. They were firing vertical. Now will fire forward/backwards as appropriate.http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29921927/YT1300-Hans_Solo-ship-p66-vuzz-pioneer-a28-weaponfix.zip

It's my fault for not using weapons. <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//big_boss.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':codemafia:' />But that's the idea. If someone finds a bug, fixes it and publishes it. It's the most fun. The modding is fascinating.

Yeah it's like that in the code development too... except people yell at you, demand things, and throw tantrums when you don't jump to do it as fast as they'd like <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//sad.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Fluffy. I've had that experience too. But by the time I went FidoNet NC, where I made many free utilities.I've always preferred to hear the truth. But that is difficult because usually sycophants around you.The sycophants are good because they make happy your ego. But what helps you to improve your job is harsh criticism."These are my principles if you don't like them i have others." There's a massive difference between:
telling someone that something is broken,
telling someone that something is broken and that they're never going to fix it because they hate being criticised and are lazy and don't care about the game.

"[background=rgb(33, 47, 58)]telling someone that something is broken and that they're never going to fix it because they hate being criticised and are lazy and don't care about the game."[/background]Do not remember saying anything like that. And if I or someone says that, it's wrong. If you tell me where I said that, we could review it. You may not know to express my idea correctly in English.

Or you and fluffy could go and edit your posts to remove the content so anyone else reading this thread does not have to read your spat as well.

Going to have to pay more attention to the Pioneer forum from now on and I would suggest that members think about their behaviour.
