One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
Hello all, I have started a Blog about starship and science-fiction design. Its a mix of spaceships, aliens, robots and other things I design with game development in mind (either boardgames or videogames). If you want to have a peek, its there:http://1000starships.blogspot.gr/ If you like what you see and want to make a space game, drop me a (quantum) line ! Meanwhile, here are a few excerpts from the blog (parental warning, some ships might seem phallic to the average sick mind) : hope you like the stuff, have a grand day all!

Nice blog Pavlosg
Like the Korolev shuttle, will we be seeing it in the game.
RE: One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
Thank you Pinback ! well, I was thinking that the Korolev was pretty much a civilian design: I have trouble picturing it fighting between the stars. I planned on using it around space stations and such, on automatic transits -that is, plain traffic.
RE: One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
Nice designs indeed. Usually civilian ships have round noses

Great work!Love the labeled one! Looks quite realistic to me
RE: One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
I really like that ground vehicle, not sure if its a science/exploration or strickly military?
RE: One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
Hey guys thank you Pyros, MPL3D and dark one ! I am very glad you like the designs, more are on the way. What would you say, though: should I post more about spaceships or try to keep a diversity (mechs, aliens and stuff) ? P. PS: Pyros, yes, you have a point, the design of the Korolev is a bit aggressive. Still, many designs of hypersonic aircraft to have flat noses (like the X-43A/B/C and X-51).
RE: One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
Keep the mixture, like the steampunk Dreadnought.
RE: One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
Just been reading through the blog, pavlosg - pretty amazing stuff! Please keep it coming
RE: One thousand starships, my starship and SF design blog
Thank you very much auryx ! (blush) I'll try and keep the posts flowing, although I have to sacrifice my sleep for it !!Leave comments on the blog, and tell me what you prefer -maybe there is too much blabla, or not enough ? PS:@pinback: I was thinking of making a martian metal octopus attack the steampunk ship, in an animation !

Hey Nevil, Ceres has gained enough momentum to proceed forward at the present. Great things are in store for Ceres !

Looks a lot like a Chris Foss style of ship

Looks a lot like a Chris Foss style of ship
Hahaha yes Pinback, I love this guy -this ship owes indeed a lot to Mister's Foss designs (ah, all my youth, him and others like Peter Elson). The hommage does not go un-named though (From the blog entry "The type 56 'Chris Foss' block 22 heavy puller is a rather unusual member of the type 40-60 Luzhou/Guarapuava family."). More details on the ship's post here ... take care !
