Frontier and Frontier FE

While waiting for Elite dangerous, whats the best way to play Frontier or even better Frontier FFE, are there remakes over there?, if you can put download links I'd really appreciate it, I dont mind Frontier if the remake is better than FFE.

I got pioneer but gives me an error and two versions of ffed3dl, really confused about that one, one is 1 gig another is 400 megs My main question is, are they complete?, pioneer and FFE remake are fully playable to dedicate hundreds of hours?

Pioneer and FFE3D are both still ongoing works in progress, but I've sunk many hours into both.

GL frontier is pretty smooth if u prefer FE2I have the PC version which runs smoothly in Boxer/DosBOXLove me some FE2!

oolite = ElitePioneer = Frontier : Elite 2 (or at least it was originally. It now follows it's own path)FFED3D = Frontier : First Encounters (There's a few different versions - go for the latest build of the AJ version as it's still being updated. For old-school graphics go for JJFFE, if you can find it)
