need help with camera!

Post by Seli »

Why cant I control the camera angles in the game? Its hard for me to enjoy exploring when I can even see half the tings I'm doing. I can only change between internal, external, and side views, but I cant figure out how to pan the camera myself. I've tried every key and key combination on the keyboard that I can think of, but nothing controls the camera...HELP?

You're playing on a laptop aren't you? By default Pioneer uses the "numpad" of a full length keyboard to move the camera around. As Vuzz says you can press ESC, or pause twice, and remap the control keys.

or and I appreciate this is less helpful, get a laptop with the keypad on. What they say above is true. While the view is on front cam, you can configure the keys to look up, down, left, right, back and forward again. While in external cam mode (by pressing F1) the keys can be configured to move the cam in full axis around the ship. Press F1 again a couple of time to get back to front cam view.

It works well enough here, though I do have to be careful the order in which I release the keys.
