Win a Diamant Tools plugin for Maya

Talk about everything else that may happen in life that doesn't happen inside the real world of Space Gaming... is there really anything outside of Space sim/Combat Gaming?

Post by SolCommand »

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know I'm hosting a small contest where you can win a Diamant Tools plugin ($199 US) for Maya so if you're using that software and would like to get this, feel free to head over to the contest's page and read the details:http://www.solcommand.com/2013/11/win-diamant-tools-plugin-for-maya.html Cheers.

Guess I would need to own Maya first ;) Is this something you use in your modeling of all the ship models you make SolCommand?

Hey mate. It's been a few years since I last used Maya but from what I saw at the time I believe it is the best 3D software. You can do whatever you want in it and it is stable ... unlike 3ds Max for example. As for me, I am now in the process of gathering learning material to switch to Blender in the near future cause it seems that software just keeps on getting better with every new version.

I tried to sit down with Blender3d SolCommand and learn it but that interface is just way to complicated or at the least intimidating :) I would like to learn a tool like that because I have been hearing good things about the engine in that you can make some short movies with it. Would like to make a short cap ship battle scene, in Blender3D but I guess that is in the future when I can get more time to sit down and learn, would be nice if the local colleges would have some classes on tools like this.
