Post websites or model download links here for free models that can be used in personal or commercial projects. Also post what requirements are needed such as a link to your website, credits in the main game folder etc that you want. There are a lot of model makers here, you could help a lot of the indie devs by making your models freely available to the rest of us and add it to your portfolio as well. This works both ways, you release it and the games it is used in you have permission to mention as you see fit. This is going along the lines of GPL V3 licensing, if they modify it, you can add it to your download and portfolio free and use all of their modifications including retexturing. This is a free trade only, if you don't want to release it as a GPL V3 model then don't post it. I have many models in my game that are licensed under V3 of the GPL license and all are free to use as they see fit, hope to see more of you do the same. [url]http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html[/url] BTW, Sol Command's models fall under this license and he is an excellent model maker, make sure you credit him if you use his models...

Per LancerSolurus request I am going to sticky this thread. And do remember this area of the download area '[url]http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/files/category/8-game-development/[/url] is set aside for just this, SolCommand has already put some models/meshes in this area. This was why I was bringing up the question of giving everyone access to create paid-for downloads for just this option. If you have a models, meshes, music, sfx or art you could get a little something for your efforts. Plus this download area would be focused to only scifi/space assets so its pointed in content.
