Yeah the 2nd one wasn't the best, and I am glad there was enough of a fan following for this movie to be made. I hope it does well in the theater so we can get more. Vin Diesel's best role by far and from the interviews he absolutely loves playing this character.

That looks a hell of better then better than 2nd one. :cool:The second movie must've been truly "amazing" since I don't remember it at all. But I still have the impression that it was to Pitch Black what Starship Troopers 2 was to ST1, yes?

Not as bad as Starship Troopers 2, Chronicles of Riddick looked the part but the story was just some mystic mumbo jumbo that never fitted in with what established in the first film.

Actually this is the 4th in the series. Unless you got the DVD pack most people didn't get to see the animated 2nd movie. That movie tied Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick stories together.

It was pretty short so there wasn't much to it. It looks like it was simply made to tie the 2 movies together, you really didn't miss anything by not seeing it.

I hate the kind of trailers that spoil the whole plot before you realize it :/

I hate the kind of trailers that spoil the whole plot before you realize it :/There's nothing to spoil here. It's the classic "OMG killer aliens are here!!!111 Let's get off this planet or we're screwed!!" kind of plot that we've seen a million times before anyway. For some reason, the cinema hall was completely stuffed for this yeasterday. I had to sit on the edge of the second row :/Luckily, the film itself wasn't very epileptic. Unlike that feaken Man of Steel, it gave me no headache at all. Maybe it's because it wasn't screened in 3D lol.5.5/10 - Average, but fun to watch nonetheless.

Watched it on DVD yesterday, very similar to the first one but with out the edge and as I would agree with DiabloTigerSix, average but fun to watch.
