This is a 'free for all' thread where you can discuss any games available on the PC or consoles.... yeah I guess you can include Mac.

Portable space sims

Post by Tattorack »

Hi guys!I've been searching Google for it, but surprisingly it came up with mediocre results... so I decided to ask here:Are there any "portable" space sims out there? As in, Space sim games easily installed on a usb flash drive (of 2GB or 8GB) without having to use a friends computer to drag everything from the C drive or running into admin stuff? Thanks ^^

There are many I am sure, but to get you started, Drop by Elite Forever. In there you will find self contained packages of all the old Elite games. They should be fine for a USB stick.

Not too sure what you mean Tattorack do you mean a game that can be run and played straight from a USB drive without being installed on a computers drive?.

Have a try with my favorite 2D Elite clone 3030 Deathwar http://spacesimcentral.com/ssc/files/category/13-3030-deathwar/ tried it, its awesome but wont let me acces my saved file without buying :/ Right now I don't have any money on me (and since this appears NOT to be made by some big consumer company it wouldn't feel right to hack it...)Scratch that, just found out it was released for free
