How do you leave Sol?

i have been doing well in Sol, i got a Deep Space Miner, i cannot figure out how to get to a spot to make a hyperspace jump without running out of fuel. help please.

You don't have to go anywhere to leave Sol, you just have to make sure that you have:a hyperdrive (you should by default),that you have the right kind of fuel for the hyperdrive (Hydrogen for normal, or military fuel for mulitary drive),that you have chosen a destination star system in the system select screen,press F2,use arrow keys to move highlight around or click on a star to pick it,the selected system will be listed on the left-hand side of the screen.once you're flying just press F7 or click the jump icon on the control panel (bottom-right)You can still enter hyperspace whilst in atmosphere at the moment, when that is fixed then you will probably have to do something more complex but that's in the future  Hope that helps,Andy

i have 5 tons each, i have left earths atmosphere, i selected Proxima Centuri. (figured as good a test spot as any) and yet still i cannot get it to jump into hyperspace.

got it to finnally work a couple of times, i notes a sign saying 7t by ther system, and put two and two to gether to figure out thats how many tons of fuel i need to get there.

Glad you figured it out :)The UI is in a constant state of overhaul but an ingame tutorial would probably be helpful to I guess.
