Joystick software

Anybody ever heard of a program that automatically configures a joystick and throttle to a game or sim? Even if the stick and throttle are mismatched by manufacturer? If not, somebody should write one. Hell, let's Patreon or Sprked the bloody thing...

All the joystick or gamepad I have owned usually came with their own but to my knowledge there isn't like a all-in-one type program that does this. I know there is a few well known joysticks that have a good following and you can download profiles for games or profiles made by others to help save time from doing it all yourself.
