Lua serializer 'Tradeships' tried to serialize an inavlid 'Ship' object.

Post by Izzanbaad »

Hello, I have just downloaded the game from the link provided on http://pioneerspacesim.net/ . It's a fresh extraction but whenever i dock at another station i get the error as described in the thread title and the game crashes. It doesn't matter where i start my game from or fly to, it's the same error. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

I have the same problem. I think it is linked to saving the game, as it happens when I save the game manualy or the game tries to save an autosave (when docking on the station, when exiting the game).

This is a known problem with the most recent version. A fix has been created, and will be included (most likely) in the next version. As this is a bug in one of the script files, you can apply the fix yourself if you don't want to wait a day or two. This is the replacement script:https://raw.githubusercontent.com/johnbartholomew/pioneer/issue-3123-tempfix/data/modules/TradeShips.lua needs to be saved in the data/modules/ folder, replacing the broken version. On Windows, the data folder should be in the same place as the game executable (pioneer.exe). Edit: The download available now (version 20140817) includes this fix.
