RIP Leonard Nimoy

Post by sscadmin »

Leonard Nimoy died today from COPD at the age of 83. What can you really say about this Scifi icon that hasn't already been said. My tribute is this very amazing scene of Mr. Spock, always a touching one. You were everybody's friend Mr Spock. You will be missed.

In addition to Star Trek, Nimoy appeared in The Twilight Zone, Mission: Impossible, THEM!, The Brain Eaters, Sea Hunt, The Outer Limits, Get Smart, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., and Night Gallery. I knew he'd appeared in most of those, but had no idea he had a part in THEM! - a movie which frightened the hell out me when I was kid!

I was so sad on hearing this. Never before has the death of a public figure been quite so upsetting to me. I'll miss you Leonard Nimoy, you brought a lot of joy to my life.

Looks like Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen will both be adding something to their games to honor Mr. Nimoy in some way and of course Star Trek Online is doing this as well as expected they would.
