so it's not going to be cheap with a start price of $50.
They have a goal of $1.00, go figure that one out and have sofar collected over $236 K.
Due out 2022 and probably straight to the Epic store, if Epic is still around.

I have problems when a well established publisher like Gearbox is crowdfunding a game.

I think I remember hearing that Gearbox is funding the basic project and this extra funding I guess is too really give the fans what they want. The developers must know the funding that was given for the effort could not achieve the best results for the fans so they are asking for more to hopefully put out a quality sequel.
Gearbox is really taking a risk in a way. Most of the gamers today don't even know what Homeworld is so they are going to have to make it epic to get the attention deficit gamers of today to play it

Wow, impressive trailer. Taking their time has really paid off with HW3. The comm traffic was amazing in the game, created a real sense of urgency.

I would suspect this might have some impact on the game.... but even if it didn't this is somewhat of a sign that they are putting all their eggs in one basket and it all hinges on Homeworld 3. I just hope its a great game so the studio can keep making games.
