Anyone played this?
How much did you like it
RE: Anyone played this?
Hehe which one? Starwraith Games has quite a few:Arvoch ConflictEvochron Series (Evochron, Evochron Alliance, Evochron Renegades, Evochron Legends)RiftspaceStarwraith I,II,III,IVEvochron Legends being the latest and there is a free demo you can play to give it a spin. I have only played the demo of this game and liked it. The transitionless planet to space and vise-versa is great and I like the one universe system (no loading screens ever). And I particularly liked the modular ship design.
RE: Anyone played this?
sorry i was referring to Legendsi found a nice review on this gamehttp://www.gametopius.com/index.php/video-games/reviews/554-evochron-legends-review-equal-and-opposite-reactions
RE: Anyone played this?
I found the game to be fun, but offering little in the way of structure. For instance, I joined, flew to a station... and...It took a bit to get used to the cluttered HUD, and when I did, I accepted a mission that had me cleaning Solar Panels. Easily earned cash in hand, I flew back and tried mining the planet surface. During no point during any of this did I ever see another ship. It felt empty. Multiplayer seemed to aleviate this, and the one server I joined happened to have folks willing to play. Everyone gave some pointers, and I learned about the campaign 'buoys' as well as the fleet battles going on in the fringe. Overall I didn't stick with it after I bought it. I think it just needs some polish on the HUD front, some more NPC's, and maybe more types of missions (Let me join the military, or a merchants guild or something. Let me fight pirates etc etc.) Its an amazing accomplishment in regards to it being developed by one person however, and I am still impressed at the amount of work put into it.
RE: Anyone played this?
There is a few mods for the HUD in there forums. I usually cannot believe that Legends is in a small package (60MB download) and all it offers in that small package. I know Legends is supposed to be totally open and you can even find some sectors not on the maps.
RE: Anyone played this?
Love playing Legends, its open game play lets you do whatever you want to in the game, no being tied down to a linear storyline. There is a beacon quest for people that like doing that kind of thing that leads to a system way off the charts.Multiplayer adds a great dynamic to the game. Legends is not an MMO, so often the servers can be found empty. I've found that if you stay on a server for a while others will also join in.I hear that there is a brand new (not a sequel like Legends is for Renegades) freeform game coming out in the fall of 2010 that is also based in the Evochron system.

RE: Anyone played this?
Is there a working title name for the game yet? So I can do some digging.
RE: Anyone played this?
