TIANGONG-1 Space Station crashing to Earth

Post by sscadmin »

As some of you may know the Chinese space station Tiangong-1 is going to be plummeting to earth this Sunday. So watch your heads...

There is quite a few cities that could get some fallout from the atmospheric entry, see the list here (i am in the zone) :)

It amazes me all of the stuff we have in orbit around the earth, knowing those pieces of junk are traveling hundreds or thousands of miles per hour and just one of those impacts the ISS or other stations up there it could cause catastrophic failure is a concerning thought.

The estimated window of re-entry for the defunct Chinese space lab Tiangong-1 has narrowed sharply. The timeframe for the fall to Earth is centred on 01:07 Monday GMT, plus or minus two hours.
