updates on a few sims:

Post by starlord »

Hello to all,Just a small note which might be of interest to space sim fans:In the same way I have initiated contact with fred fettinger regarding remnants of the stars and have tried to stir the project again, I have had a few interesting updates recently concerning a few others:The divine (packom interactive): packom leader david rodriguez has confirmed that the game is put on hiatus during an indefinite period of time, but is not dead. This is due to the loss of one of their programmers. He assured me that the idea is still alive though and that he will do anything possible to keep the divine alive.abyss lights: frozen systems: abyss lights studios definately confirmed the fact that abyss lights remain in the works, however, marketing problems may lead to a title change.Dark matter: the baryon project: although pixel cage hasn't updated this one for quite a while, the lead I talked with told me that a lot of info is still held secret around that sim. However, judging from the screenshots, it is possible the game will be renaimed supernova, and will feature FPS elements as well as space sim elements.startorn: an independent project started by richard norton. The latter has stated on the HW forums that the project is still being worked on.I hope this info can be of use to you.best regards.

I have heard of all these but startorn. I tried doing a google search and looking through sourceforge and I cannot find anything on this one. Is there a website?I would post more on the other games but there hasn't been status on them for months and even years on a few of them. Thanks for the update.

You can ask all your questions regarding startorn to the person with the same username on the heresy war boards.

Interesting info: PDAmill studios have released a free PC version of anthelion 2: celestial vigilance, their space sim for Pocket PC. I'm now trying my best to know if they'll release also the prequel for PC. :)

I found that info on Startorn but besides that there is nothing. I have tried PMing startorn on Heresy War forums but nothing yet. On Anthelion 2 you can see more info here: http://www.pdamill.com/prod_an2.shtml or http://www.pdamill.com/prod_pc.shtml only bad thing is that they don't provide a lot of info on the product in screenshots or movies.

Excellent news:PDAmill have accepted to port the prequel, anthelion on our PCs. However, no exact date is known. :) But we still have one more sim to enjoy (again)!
