Hello to all representants of this exquisite video game genre.I'm starlord, your's truly. and it's a pleasure to discover this new HUB of space sims.For quite a while now I've been collecting sims, and I must confess that the collection in question is reaching a considerable reach: from the renown wing commander and freespace series up to more obscure games like forced alliance: the glarious mandate from ripcord games or halcyon sun from kuju entertainment or the very elusive homeplanet gold from russian russobit M publisher, or even the elderly "deepspace: operation copernicus" from sir tech.Should you wish, I would gladly share all my information about these gems with you, as well as those about to be.I'm also involved in a certain number of projects like the preservation of the renegade legion sci fi universe into a sim MOD notably starshatter and freespace, as well as an english subtitle patch for homeplanet gold and a petition for a PC port of project sylpheed (addressed directly to game arts with who I have contacts with).Soon, I should have secured for my collection a copy of dark ore from raylogic and elpin systems' very elusive "waypoint zeta": all of them space sims naturally.Should I be able to help this promising site, please do ask me.Greatest regards.starlord.

Hey StarlordYou have listed a few games I have never heard of and i will try to track down some information on them. I have used places like Wikipedia to do most my gathering plus google :)I am also trying to create a site listing of games as well so if there least isn't a dedicated area to the game people will at least be able to find info at the dev site.Thanks for stopping by thanks for the info... site is still very new and I'm only a one man show so between RL and trying to fit in some gaming I update as much as I can.

Gonna do my best CaptianKal.... Tough part is digging up all the info on all the various games and mod projects out there but that will come in time after the site gets more traffic and the word gets out. People can help with the news and the rumors.I just want to provide a place where people can get info on all space type games whether they are mmo's, SP, MP, Web Based, Mods or conversions. Spread the word

Given SP space sims I can certainly give you a few titles to think about. this as well as a few futuristic shooters (àla terminal velocity and descent) and 2D oddities (like the DOS game star hammer). While my collection strongly favours fighter space combat, I have noticed a few "big ships" simulations that have convinced me enough to stay in my collection without regret (this implies craft piloting to be easy and not on the tactical level only). In this cathegory for instance are independance war: special edition defiance and microsoft's lightspeed/hyperspeed saga (those ones are especially interesting).Should people talk about conversions here, I'll step in to talk about a few sci fi universes worth preserving, like the renegade legions. Might yeld future ideas as well as manpower for mods or projects in peril like remnants.

Hi, there. Thanks for asking about Deepspace and giving me this site to join. Obviously I have Deepspace: Life on the Frontier, in developement. Its stalled at the moment due to my lack of programming knowledge. Its purely a hobby thing and hopefully I'll pick it up again soon. Its basicially a remake of Elite for the PC. Anyway all the best with the site. I'll keep visiting for sure. thanks.
