Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

This area is to discuss FPS (First Person Shooters), Strategy and Tactical based games that don't always involve 3D space combat (ex: Fallout, Wasteland, Mass Effect, X-Com, Deus Ex, Halo, ect...)

Agreed. I rarely buy on release day, one because of bugs found in the first month and two I like to see what DLC or mods are released for a game. With some many games I have yet to play on my steam account I am pretty selective now ;)All of the videos I have watched on reviewing the game the gameplay looks to be fun and the majority of reviewers have been positive. Very good sign, and shows EA hey make a good game with a solid story and mechanics and people will buy and play it. There is no need to microtransaction us to death.

I being playing this over Christmas on the PS4 and was not too impressed by the game at the start as it felt very generic, very much in the mould of the sub standard Uncharted games with Tomb Raider add in, but after about the half way point I have started to really enjoy playing the game as I was given more abilities and had levelled up the force powers. I also started to get the hang of what the button combo did instead of just bashing the attack button.
Just a shame it you don't have access to all the abilities earlier in the game and I have been thinking while playing the game, would it not be great to have a new Indiana Jones game.

I enjoyed the uncharted games (1&2) gameplay and the story to those games were nice but I doubt they would have been successful without the both the gameplay and the story.... How is the story to Fallen Order is it good to keep you coming back?

Hard to say I found the story a bit average but it does keep you moving along in the game, as I said before the whole game has a feeling of being done by the numbers.
Their whole level which takes place on the Wookie's home world and it seems to have being lifted straight out of the film Avatar and it's not the only part in the game in which you will get that deja vu feeling.
Still it the best Star Wars we had in years.
