I’d doubt that even being free for everyone this kind of flights ('Jeff-like') will generate a flood.
More than 50k satellites are planned to be launched in the nearest 50 years. The orbit is already overloaded and obviously needs cleanup and global regulations for new launches.
The satellites are vital in many cases and are going to bring more to ‘space economy’ with the technologies’ development. Still with vital purposes on earth-space level, than entertainment: communication, science, might be goods transportation.

Can't see this leading to us mere mortals going into orbit any time soon, just for the billionaires and a lucky few others.
Seems to a billionaires one-upmanship going on here, one get into sub orbit another gets a bit higher, now one gets into orbit for three days. Where's the next one going?, the moon.

Yep! BBC article here.

Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa has invited eight members of the public to join him for a trip around the Moon on Elon Musk's SpaceX flight.

Us normal folk are hard pressed to ever be on one of these trips, I cannot drop a few mil to join them ;) I am just hoping all this competition between the billionaires will create an opportunity for us normal folk to maybe see space in person before we become one with the earth.
@cody that is cool of Maezawa to reward some lucky people.... be sweet to take a trip around the moon.

Wouldn't it just! I'd sell my soul for that. Mind you, I doubt my aged body could withstand the stresses and acceleration of take-off. Zero-G, on the other hand, would be right up my street. Once I had a dream, but it has slowly faded as the decades have passed.

Completely forgot about that one, so I guess Musk will be going to mars.

Besides passing physiological and psychological examinations, one should have bachelor's degree in engineering, biological science, physical science, computer science or mathematics (which might be not a hindrance - it should be checked also for the knowledge to be actual), followed by three years of professional experience.

I see in the news that Captain (Willian Shatner) Kirk is going into space with Blue Origin and will become the oldest man to boldly go.

Shatner gets into low orbit and for once seems to be lost for word, from the clips I have seen.

I hope we all get to experience the feeling Capt. Kirk felt going into space :)

'William Shatner cried upon returning from space. The “overview effect” explains why'

Not only William Shatner was moved to tears. Many of his original fans did.
It is remarkable for a person in his 90's to go fo the mission. Anyone in any age will feel that, ‘something that I didn’t experience before’. And being a man with that legacy, it is something that not any fan would experience, I believe.
Getting old, one starts to appreciate the smallest and the biggest things in a more pure way, ‘jthe air keeping us alive is thinner tan the skin’ - he said.
William Shatner is just as old as the space technology race. Sci-Fi has a good part of science behind it, it is not a fantasy series. And now he participated in an important manned mission with precise landing control. Unbelievable strength and legacy of the man.

Hopefully more will come forward with their own space station and get it out of the hands of bureaucracy.

I'm sure I've read something like this in a sci-fi novel once upon a time. All the mega-rich living in luxury aboard their private orbitals, while what's left of the world's population struggles to survive on a planet ruined by climate change and war.

Welcome to Elysium.

Thanks Pinback - I don't recall it. Reading a summary on Wiki, it seems to have a happy ending. I doubt that'd happen in real life.
The director said:

I feel like I fucked it up, I feel like ultimately the story is not the right story
