Traveller 3D printed ships

A 3D printed ship from Traveller given that it is meant to be used with the paper and pen game, it's pretty big and they are starting a kickstarter Free Trader Beowulf Starship by 2nd Dynasty — Kickstarter for it, but you would have to print the ship yourself as I would guess it will take a few weeks/months to print all the parts.
And they have one for the classic scout ship.

I'm new to 3D printing and I'm interested in learning more about 3D printed ships for Traveller. Does anyone have any experience with this or any advice on where to start? Thanks!

That is an exciting project! The Free Trader Beowulf and the classic scout ship from Traveller are iconic vessels, and having 3D printed models for tabletop gaming can really enhance the experience.
