Glad to see the artist has not passed (recently).
Heh! She must be in her eighties now. She and Goffin wrote some great songs!
Not played this for a while, so...

Thought that the Byrds did the original of Goin Back, but have been corrected via Facebook.
Can't think of a jelly song so here's some Jello Biafra (singer with punk band Dead Kennedys)

Just remembered the name Jelly Roll Morton
Seems that the Grateful Dead covered this song.

Nope, no idea what Jelly Roll means. Graham Parker once mentioned that Steely Dan was rude / offensive - took me about 30 years to find out what he meant.

Ha! That'll be the Burroughs Naked Lunch thingy! As for jelly roll, that too can be rude/offensive.
Meanwhile, currently playing chez Cody...

Time for a cryin' song...
RE: Pioneer Musical Appreciation Society
Rod Stewart (who knew a good song when he heard one) did a good cover of that. He covered this Tim Hardin song too...

One of the first Rod Stewart songs I can remember was his version of I Don't Want To Talk About It, when it was a hit. (There is another one of his songs from that time that I can't quite recall but I will look for).
One of our jam group members is a bit of a Rod Stewart fan and performs Reason to Believe from time to time. I find it difficult to play for some reason. I only heard the song for the first time a few years ago, even though I think it was a double A side with Maggie May or possibly the actual A side with Maggie May as the B side.

I can remember this one in the charts
This is the song that I can remember some of the lyric but never knew the song title - don't remember the Gilmour-ish guitar solos.

Zappa liked it so much, he got the two singers (Kaylan and Volman) into The Mothers of Invention and that song into their playlist.
