Boy does this game get a lot of hate, I have been watching the Steam forum for the last 7 months and it just endless threads with titles like dead game, abandon game, no updates and player numbers or most refunded game ever.
Now the game does have it faults like annoying companions, dull main quest and repetitive temple runs for the space magic powers, but theses are more personal preference than faults. Their are some unfinished features like the hab features and the bounty hunting apex of the game along with the vehicle which feels like an after thought.
But for me and I say this as a fan of the game, it lacks immersion and its a really hard to qualify exactly what it is. Maybe some thing like the inventory which takes you out of the game or maybe that the city's all feel too small, or it could be that the game is too grounded and not sci-fi enough.

It may read like that but I'm a bit of a fan boy as I have bought the branded controller and I'm on the look out for the collectors edition. 
But I still feel it lacks something but what it is I don't know, and at the end of the day this is the closest I'm going to get to a new Traveller game.
