Before EVE became the standard in Space MMORPGs, EA tried its luck in the MMORPG arena with Eath & Beyond. Kal, have you tried this one out? I was in the beta and played a bit of E&B a few years back and liked it. I thought the emulator is only to simulate the single player experience is that right or did they finally get a multiplayer server running? Instead of just closing the game and calling it quits they should have released the source to let the community take over.For those that never heard of this title, check this out:

I think the game is very much alive. You can play it as a single player game (I tried for a hour or two), and they had a multiplayer stress test on January (unfortunately I could not log in). So I think you can ask them a couple of questions.

Thanks for this CaptianKalIt will be nice to see people playing E&B online again. I know when I tried this emulator out a year ago it was single player online if I remember correctly and there was a lot of editing you had to do to get it to work.

When I get some free time I would like to load this up and see how it is now, thanks for the update.
Briefly watched a few streams of EnB emulator from about 1-2yrs ago and there is still some gfx anomalies but will be worth the time to try this out soon.
