Low Earth Orbit Adventures

Post by classyk »

Hi everyone,

I'm making a space game called Low Earth Orbit Adventures (LEO Adventures). I really love sci-fi that aims for a bit more near-future realism like The Expanse and Gravity. There was a show in the 1980s called "Star Cops" that only lasted 9 episodes that is kind of rough but also kind of amazing in that it tried to do a realistic version of life in space in the near future.

With LEO Adventures I'm making a relaxing space game with missions like retrieving the Hubble, rescuing astronauts and assembling space stations.

Anyway, here is the link.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3984 ... dventures/

There's also a demo of one mission (rescuing astronauts).

Always up for some feedback or suggestions!

Here's a trailer too.

I have updated the LEO Adventures demo with a bunch of improvements. Still digesting a lot of the feedback from NextFest.

Um, this is realistic space physics, we just don't do it very often :D :D

I've updated the demo with a bunch of improvements to the camera and thrusters. It's tough to fit all the controls for a Newtonian 3D game on a gamepad....

Hello!

I have finally pushed the button on Low Earth Orbit Adventures! It's also on itch as a DRM-free download.

It's a small game but I kind of think of it as a "holiday for hardcore spacesim fans". I wanted to make a 3D Newtonian space game that was accessible enough to play on the couch (so it supports gamepad pretty well).

Happy to answer any questions or take suggestions!

Luke
