A game that I have been looking forward to for a while is Borderlands. It just has a few things I like in a good console game it is a RPG/FPS. Short little description of the game is:

Search the wasteland planet of Pandora for the legendary Alien Vault. Fight your way through bandits, discover nine native (and aggressive) creatures, and help the few settlers on the planet in your search for a Vault rumored to contain a great prize - if it even exists!
Couple things I like about the game are:1. So far is the RPG element to the FPS. You can build your characters skills/fight styles and weapon proficiency.2. The art style is great3. 4 player co-op and even 2 player SPLIT-SCREEN (whoohoo)4. Over 300,000 different weapons!!!5. Level cap so far at 50 and DLC is promised.6. I can't wait this comes out next week. I will buy it on day one (20th Oct) so if any one here will be buying the game and have a PS3 and want to hookup in game just let me know.

Been playing borderlands a few days off and on and what a game. Yes it could do more but no game is perfect. The art direction and guns and fun gameplay is definitely a plus and I like the co-op aspect so I can play with the kids :)I would have liked to see a bit more RPG elements and maybe some actual gear, right now your only personal gear is a shield generator device. The rest is just weapons which are a huge blast. Go and pick this game up i'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Finally beat the end boss on Sunday and going to start the 2nd play through now. To get the rest of the trophies. Plus I am only lvl37 and lvl cap is 50 so I have a ways to go yet. Borderlands is pretty fun and I like the SP mode a lot. The RPG elements could be better but the art style and gameplay make up for it.
